Kurukshetra University is located in Kurukshetra, Haryana, where thefamous historical battle Mahabharata was fought between Kauravs and Pandavs. The foundation stone of the University was laid in 1956, by Late by Bharatratna Dr.Rajendra Prasad, the first President of the Indian Republic.

Kurukshetra University is a premier institute of higher learning in India. The campus of the University is situated on the bank of the holy tank, Brahm Sarovar and spans over an area of 400 acres. The University imparts education in diverse fields, such as, science, technology, humanities, social sciences, performing arts and sports.

Kurukshetra University was established on 11 January 1956. The university is very famous in Haryana and Punjab. The education standard of the university is excellent and their results depict their story.
