The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is located in Patna the capital of Bihar in India. Bihar School Examination Board is also known as Bihar Vidyalaya Pariksha Samiti . Bihar is the state which is well known in the country for its academic excellence. This organization was founded for holding and conducting examination for the Secondary School and Senior Secondary Schools in Bihar. BSEB also prescribes syllabus for its examination to the students.

For the student of class 10th and 12th the Bihar School Examination Board conducts an annual Secondary School Examination. The Bihar School Examination Board is also responsible for the declaration of results. The board also conducts Supplementary School Examination for the students who could not pass in the annual examination. In addition to that the Bihar school examination board takes all the essential steps that it considers essential for smooth conduct of examination. In addition to its role in school examinations the Bihar Board also conducts qualifying examination for the primary, middle and high school teachers.

The Bihar school Examination Board (BSEB) conducts the Bihar Board Matrics Supplementary Examination every year in the month of July / August. Two categories of Bihar Board Students appear for the Supplementary examinations i.e. 'A' and 'C'.

'A' means all subjects. 'C' means compartmental i.e. students who want to clear their subjects in which they failed at the annual examination, appear as compartmental examinees.

BSEB conducts the Bihar Annual Secondary School Examination every year in the month of February / March and Supplementary School Examination in August/ September on the basis of the syllabus as prescribed by the Government of Bihar.
