Kumaun University (Nainital) was
established in the year 1973 and has 3 campuses (at Nainital, Almora and
Bhimtal). With 27 affiliated colleges under its wing, Kumaun University has a
jurisdiction over the entire Kumaun region.
The university also has scientific and social research programmes along with the regular courses. With a total of 27 academic departments, Kumaun University offers 4 undergraduate and 23 postgraduateprogrammes to its students.
